Terms of Service

Last updated 1 August 2026

These terms cover your use of ParcelAI. Plain language where possible — where a clause has a real consequence for you, it says so directly.

Template — not legal advice. This document was drafted to describe how ParcelAI actually works, but it has not been reviewed by a solicitor. Have counsel check it against your jurisdiction, your insurer and your data processors before you rely on it commercially.

1. What ParcelAI does

ParcelAI receives emails you forward to an address we generate for you, extracts stock information from them using automated language models, and — where you have connected a store and permitted it — writes the resulting quantities to that store.

The service is an assistant, not an authority. Extraction is probabilistic. Every value carries a confidence score, and you decide the threshold above which we may act without you.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract in your jurisdiction.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything your team does with it.
  • Keep your credentials secret. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
  • One workspace is provisioned per account. Reselling access to it is not permitted.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Forward mail you have no right to process, or that contains third-party personal data you are not permitted to share.
  • Use the service to send unsolicited mail, or to process content that is unlawful in your jurisdiction.
  • Attempt to access another customer’s data, probe the service for vulnerabilities without written permission, or circumvent rate limits.
  • Resell, sublicense or white-label the service without a written agreement with us.

Security researchers are welcome — see our security page for how to report something responsibly.

4. Accuracy, and what that means for your stock

You remain responsible for the inventory numbers published on your storefront. We work hard to extract correctly, surface a confidence score on every field, and hold back anything we are unsure about — but automated extraction can be wrong, and suppliers themselves send incorrect figures.

If accuracy is critical to your operation, run ParcelAI in manual mode and review updates before they reach your store. That option exists precisely for this reason.

5. Your content

The emails you forward and the data extracted from them remain yours. You grant us only the licence needed to run the service: to receive, store, process and display that content back to you, and to write derived stock figures to systems you have connected.

We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train third-party models. See the Privacy Policy for detail on processors and retention.

6. Fees

Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment provider. Prices are shown before you subscribe. Where you cancel, access continues to the end of the paid period and is not pro-rated unless your local consumer law requires it.

ParcelAI is currently in preview. Preview access may be free, rate-limited, or changed on notice.

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee on preview or self-serve plans. Maintenance, supplier-side outages and upstream provider incidents can interrupt processing. Queued emails are retried where practical.

8. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time from Settings; deletion removes your workspace and its data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend an account that is placing the service or other customers at risk, or that breaches section 3, and will tell you why where we lawfully can.

9. Liability

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of the service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or £100. We are not liable for lost profits, lost sales or lost data arising from inventory figures that turned out to be wrong.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in the dashboard at least 14 days before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
